Our trip to Lake Tahoe began with us stopping in Napa to visit C.J. and Caleb.
After the long ride C.J. thought we would like to eat at one of his favorite places - the Kitchen Door - with he and Caleb, along with his girlfriend Julie. Caleb seems incapable of taking any normal picture - this is a long-standing tradition.

The next morning we left for Lake Tahoe. When we arrived, Craig immediately got in some nap time.
Naturally we arrived in time for the first snow of the season - this was our view from our room on our first morning there.

We packed our collapsible eBikes in our car for this trip. On arriving that first morning, we drove up to Sand Harbor State Park on the Nevada side and rode our bikes on a path to Incline Village.
Here we see Patty riding along Lakeshore Blvd in Incline Village.
The other picture is of the coastline on the lake side of Lakeshore Blvd - from the bike path leading into the village.

Two mornings later we drove up the California side of the lake to Tahoe City. As you can see, the road was covered in snow and we were glad we were driving our dual motor Tesla. Again we took the eBikes and rode 13 miles back south on a pretty cold morning. There was no snow at this part of the lake, but we didn't see many other bicycle riders on this journey. Patty was a real trooper, but we both decided that was enough riding for this trip. On our return we stopped at Emerald Bay and took the picture of Patty that you see on the Vacation page.

Ok, now what do we do with ourselves? Patty decided she wanted to try axe-throwing. Well...it turns out she started to get the hang of it after a while. You rent this target by the hour, so Patty got a little instruction and spent the rest of the time throwing that axe. She actually got the bullseye several time in that first hour. Of course you have to stand the proper distance away - you don't want that axe to bounce back on you incase it doesn't stick in the target.
Right at the base of the arial tram that takes visitors to Heavenly Ski Lodge there is a really nice shopping and eating area in South Lake Tahoe. In this area is an entertainment place call The Loft. It is a very small theatre that has magic shows - close up and personal like the Magic Castle in Hollywood. We got tickets to a show and really enjoyed it. There is a rotating group of magicians who work the shows, so you will see someone new practically every time you go.

We left Lake Tahoe and drove down to Folsom - yes, that's where the prison is located, but there is a really historical part of old Folsom that is a real western town.
A friend of ours who is a former neighbor lives there. We met Natasha in old Folsom and the girls when shopping, then we all ate lunch.
It was a great stop before we made the long trek home.
